Les Arrière-Mondes

As if they were driven both by desire and withdrawal, men and women who seem to have escaped from the depths of time keep appearing and disappearing again.

They are astounded and tousled creatures, extravagant individuals, white eels with angelic faces who will always survive History. They have seen not only pleasures and passing days, but also chaos, wars and plagues.

They tried life on earth more than once. As far as they are concerned, nothing has changed, humans have remained as fickle and aimless as ever.

Still, they join us yet again and look into our eyes as if through a bottomless one-way mirror.

Les Arrières-Mondes sheds a spectral light on the moments of stupor and uncertainty that come with human passions and reveal the mystery of our presence without us knowing.
